USDA Announces Requests for Proposals for Woody Biomass Grants

The U.S. Department of Agriculture requests proposals for Woody
Biomass Grants, for forest product projects that increase the use of
woody biomass from National Forest System lands.  These funds are
targeted to help communities, entrepreneurs, and others turn residues
from forest restoration activities into marketable forest products
and/or energy products.  $4.5 million expected to be available, up to
20 awards anticipated.  Responses due 11/2/07.  For more info, contact
